Hugo Ferrari is a versatile dancer who began his career with Latin dances, winning the title of World Bachata Champion in 2015 in the group category. He has also explored Argentine folklore, including the chacarera and zamba, and has participated twice in the renowned Cosquín Festival.
In addition, Hugo has studied tango with distinguished teachers such as Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau, Mario Morales, Graciela García, Leandro Gómez, Leandro Capparelli, Betsabet Flores and Jonathan Spitel, Sabrina Véliz, and Natacha Pomeraj. He has also been part of Leandro Caparelli's Titanes company, the Jonathan and Betsabeth Flores Company, Mora Godoy, and HyC Tango, performing at various events in different European countries. He has participated four times in the World Tango Festival (2022, 2023, 2025, and 2026).
He also participated in a short film that premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, on Disney Channel Australia, and in the Argentine film "Tuve el Corazón" (I Had the Heart), presented as part of the 2024 World Tango Championship, which premiered in Argentina on August 22, 2024. Beyond his performances, Hugo is dedicated to teaching tango in a fun and engaging way. He believes that tango is about connection, whether in an open embrace, a hug, or a combination of both. He generously shares his knowledge, always emphasizing the essence of social tango. This is Hugo's fourth year teaching abroad, with experience in Italy, France, Germany, China, Thailand, Spain, Switzerland, Réunion Island, Dubai, and Austria. Hugo is also passionate about milonga music. He has played all his favorite tangos in various milongas in Buenos Aires and in the countries he has visited, making sure to widely share his love for tango wherever he goes.
